The last movie I saw in theaters before the pandemic turned moviegoing into a hazy memory was Cats, the infamously wrong-headed adaptation of the inexplicably popular Broadway musical. That it was a late-night “rowdy” screening hosted by a popular bad movie podcast only made me feel a little less unclean.
